Technology, Things

I would like to contribute to the last post of my friend and help more people using Symbian OS 9.1 3rd edition. You need to keep in mind that the software that will be used in this case is only available for Symbian OS and more specific to mobile phones using the third edition. I mean this is obviouys if you think that you cant use a program that runs on windows xp and expect it to run on Windows 98, right? 😛

Chris mentioned on the previous post that you can use the program called truphone, access a hotspot and then make and receive free calls from other devices using the sane protocol, the SIP protocol.

This post will show you a different way. I don’t know if it easier or not but it is clearly supported by Nokia. Which is good in a way that will not have that many implications in its use.

The program is called GIZMOVOIP

So why use it anyway?

  • It’s FREE!
  • FREE call’s to any Gizmo Project, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, or Windows Live user
  • Chat with AIM and MSN buddies
  • Free Voicemail and Conference calling.
  • Super clear call quality
  • Inexpensive add-ons that let you make and receive calls from any mobile phone or landline

You can download the program here. The installation is quite straightforward and the only thing that you need to do after is to create a gizmo account, which again is free. As with any Voip service, calls to otter members of the program is free. However, you can also use the program to make cheap calls to anywhere in the world, both landlines and mobile phones.

Hope this helps everyone realize that there ios a new generation coming up on VOIP, tyhis time in mobile phones. 😀
