iPhone to have GPS chip by Broadcom
οκ αυτό όντως είναι καλά νέα για τους Lovers του iPhone αφού μετά το φιάσκο με τη γενιά 3G που δεν βγήκε εξαρχής η εταιρία Broadcom θα είναι ο προμηθευτής 3Gchipset σύμφωνα με την Gigaom .
Δεδομένου οτι το iPhone είναι απο μόνο του μια φανταστική εμπειρία στο κόσμο των κινητών, η πλοήγηση θα είναι ένα ακόμα ατού. Είναι φανερό οτι σε αυτό βοήθησε και ο τρόπος λειτουργίας του κινητού που χρησιμοποιεί touch screen, λειτουργικότητα που είναι απαραίτητη για πλοήγηση με GPS.
αναμένω να δώ το τελικό αποτέλεσμα και είναι σχεδόν σίγουρο οτι τα Google Maps θα είναι το γεωγραφικό υπόβαθρο στο τελικό προιόν.

CAPTCHA is dead? hotmail cracked
ΟΚ εκτός απο το γεγονός οτι το CAPTCHA είναι ένα απο τα ποιο σπαστικά για μένα anti-spam technology, μάλλον το ίδιο σκεφτόντουσαν και οι spammers οι οποίοι κατάφερα να σπάσουν το live CAPTCHA του Hotmail και Live.com και να καταφέρουν μέσα σε ένα λεπτό να ανοίξουν bogus accounts απο τα οποία μπορούν άνετα να στέλνουν spam messages και μάλιστα με εναλλαγή απο το ένα account στο άλλο για λιγότερες πιθανότητες εντοπισμού… great news for the internet users τότε…
δεν χρειάζεται να αναφέρω οτι και το CAPTCHA της Google έχει σπάσει επίσης …
τουλάχιστον μπορούμε να υποθέσουμε οτι η τεχνολογία του visual recognition περνάει σε άλλο στάδιο, αλλά ποιος θα φανταζόταν οτι θα ερχόταν απο τους spammers…
τουλάχιστον βλέπουμε προσπάθειες νέων τεχνολογιών όπως το Asira της Microsoft
Microsoft is changing course on surfing with IE8 ?
This is great news for those who are swearing every time they are developing a new site and nothing works correctly on IE especially when adopting web 2.0 techniques…
Well according to the general Manager of Microsoft Dean Hachamovitch which he notes :
Microsoft recently published a set of Interoperability Principles. Thinking about IE8’s behavior with these principles in mind, interpreting web content in the most standards compliant way possible is a better thing to do.
We think that acting in accordance with principles is important, and IE8’s default is a demonstration of the interoperability principles in action. While we do not believe any current legal requirements would dictate which rendering mode a browser must use, this step clearly removes this question as a potential legal and regulatory issue. As stated above, we think it’s the better choice.

Ok so basically we are not going to move our heads up and down every time that we make different css files for IE and different css files for other browsers. So it seems that Microsoft actually listened to the developer community and has made a turn towards the greater ways of doing things… Till IE 8 is out we wait and hope that all this is true..
